Clarifying Complex Ideas

My professional experience can be summarized in four words: I clarify complex ideas.

Some people believe that you can only be one thing. You can either understand healthcare or you can understand technology. You can focus on technical communications like datasheets and whitepapers, or you can be a marketing communications copywriter and focus exclusively on brochures and ad campaigns.

Companies rarely need a one-dimensional writer. They need a whitepaper, but they also need the script for the accompanying webcast, a reviewed and polished webcast presentation, and an email or postcard to promote the event. I don't believe that this should require four different people.

I speak to audiences in a voice that they understand.

I've explained the details of how to properly secure a wireless LAN in highly regulated environments. I've used layman's terms to help patients understand what to expect from a medical procedure. I've explained the basics of photovoltaic cell technology to homeowners looking to convert to solar power. I've explored how XML-based technologies can help with recipe management at pharmaceutical and life science companies.

I believe in clarity, accuracy, readability and adherence to deadlines and budgets. If this sounds like what you're looking for, please read on.
